Did you know that over 940 children have died in hot cars nationwide since 1990? This course has been developed to help provide child care professionals with information, resources, and actionable tips to prevent these heartbreaking tragedies. Participants will learn from a mix of slides, graphics, and real-world scenarios.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe at least two situations that can put parents more at risk for forgetting their child in a car

  • Identify at least two policies or procedures that can be put into place to help prevent these deaths

  • Describe how you would respond if you discovered a child alone in a hot car
